✅ Supplies Needed:

  • Fresh or dried herbs

  • Raw apple cider vinegar (with the “mother”)

  • Raw honey

  • Glass jar with lid (Mason jars work well)

  • Cheesecloth or fine strainer

  • Amber bottles or jars for storage

  • Label and marker

🌿 Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Prepare the Herb

  • Fresh herbs: Chop finely.

  • Dried herbs: Crush slightly to release active compounds.

2. Fill Your Jar

  • Fill:

    • Fresh herbs: ½ to ¾ of the jar

    • Dried herbs: ⅓ to ½ of the jar

3. Add Vinegar and Honey

  • Use a ratio of 1 part honey to 2–3 parts vinegar (adjust to taste).

    • Example: For 1 cup total liquid, use ⅓ cup honey and ⅔ cup vinegar.

  • Pour the mixture over the herbs, fully covering them.

  • Stir well to combine.

  • Leave at least 1 inch of headspace.

  • Seal the jar. If using a metal lid, place parchment paper between the lid and the vinegar to prevent corrosion.

4. Infuse

  • Label with:

    • Herb name

    • Date

    • Ratio of vinegar to honey

  • Store in a cool, dark place for 2–4 weeks.

  • Shake daily or every few days.

5. Strain and Bottle

  • Strain through cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer.

  • Squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

  • Store in amber bottles or jars.

📌 Usage and Shelf Life:
